Colorado Red Flag Law Goes Into Effect
Colorado has enacted the Zachary Parrish Violence Prevention Act, commonly known as a red flag law, which allows for the temporary removal of firearms from individuals deemed an extreme risk. This law permits family members or law enforcement to petition a court, potentially leading to the confiscation of firearms for up to a year without due process or a trial. Despite its implementation, numerous counties and cities in Colorado have declared themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries, vowing not to enforce the law.
