This Bill Guts The NFA!
Congressman Andrew Clyde discusses the "Short Act," legislation aimed at eliminating the $200 tax on Short Barreled Rifles (SBRs) and Short Barreled Shotguns (SBSs), as well as the $5 tax on Any Other Weapons (AOWs) under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The bill also seeks to prevent the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) from reclassifying firearms, such as pistols with braces, as NFA-regulated items. The Congressman emphasizes that this taxation infringes upon Second Amendment rights and encourages constituents to contact their representatives to co-sponsor the Short Act.
