Staccato P vs HD... Which is better?
This video compares the Staccato P and Staccato HD handguns, with the presenter, Ben Stoeger, sharing extensive experience with the P (10,000+ rounds) and moderate experience with the HD (a couple thousand rounds). While the Staccato P is described as a "plain Jane 2011" and "fine" but not "special," the HD is noted for its different grip ergonomics, lack of a grip safety, and a distinct recoil impulse that feels more neutral and returns to center faster, reminiscent of a Glock 47. The HD's trigger is also noted as a Series 70 type, not drop-safe, with a lighter pull (3.5 lbs vs. 4.5 lbs) for an extra cost.
