16 AGs Push Back On Biden's Assault Weapons Ban!
Sixteen State Attorneys General, led by Montana's Austin Knudsen, have formally opposed President Biden's proposed ban on "assault weapons." The letter argues that such a ban is unconstitutional, citing that semi-automatic firearms are commonly used for self-defense by over 100 million Americans. The AGs also challenge the effectiveness of previous bans, referencing DOJ studies that found no discernible impact on violent crime.
