Federal Court Rules On 2A Ban For Domestic Abusers
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that banning gun ownership for individuals under domestic violence restraining orders is constitutional, overturning a previous decision. This ruling, influenced by the Supreme Court's decision in US v. Rahimi, acknowledges that accused domestic abusers pose a threat justifying firearm restrictions. However, the court also noted potential issues with mutual restraining orders that could unfairly penalize victims.
