PENNSYLVANIA: GOA Testifies Against Red Flags & Other Gun Control
Dr. Val Finnell, Pennsylvania Director of Gun Owners of America and retired Air Force Colonel, testified against proposed gun control measures. He argued that red flag laws, universal background checks, semi-automatic firearm bans, and magazine restrictions are ineffective and violate constitutional rights. Finnell cited the ineffectiveness of the 1994 federal assault weapons ban and highlighted the high false positive rate in background check systems. He advocated for repealing gun-free zones and enacting Constitutional Carry (HB 1412), emphasizing the importance of due process in mental health procedures to allow for firearm rights restoration.
