The Pistol Brace Situation Just Got Complicated
The pistol brace situation has become more complex following two preliminary injunctions. The first, in Mock v. Garland, was granted by the Fifth Circuit, temporarily halting enforcement of the rule against plaintiffs. A second injunction was issued by Judge Jane J. Boyle in the Northern District of Texas for the Second Amendment Foundation case, also limited to plaintiffs. Both rulings indicate a high likelihood of success for the plaintiffs on the merits, suggesting the rule may eventually be struck down nationwide, though this process is expected to take time.
