Brake Rotors vs the 50cal...
This video from Demolition Ranch features Matt Carriker conducting an experiment to test the penetration capabilities of various firearm calibers against stacked automotive brake rotors. The test includes calibers ranging from .22 LR to .50 BMG, fired from different platforms like an AR-15 and a Barrett M107A1. The results demonstrate that while smaller calibers are largely ineffective, larger rifle rounds can penetrate multiple rotors, and brake rotors can serve as surprisingly effective improvised armor against certain small arms.
